BOUT

Liam Schoedel is a young illustrator native to Nashville, Tennessee. A great deal of his inspiration as an artist comes from historical illustration, fine art from the 18th and 19th centuries, early photography, and medieval illumination.

More specifically, Liam is greatly motived by the satirical sensibility of William Hogarth, the way Casper David Fredrick captures the earth, and the architectural detail in the sketchbooks of Cornelis Pronk.

Growing up watching his mother paint and his father take on architectural projects, the seed for Liam's artistry was planted at a young age, and has flourished into a deep love. He has spent his whole life creating in one form or another, but has always come back to painting. These days he works almost exclusively with Holbein gauche.

Liam places a deep value on detail and approaches everything with great intention. When he is not painting, his other creative endevors include film photography and writing.
